Good morning and happy Tuesday. Today’s card is a simple card that I am using as a get well card for a friend. I let the beautiful Meandering Meadows 6″ x 6″ designer series paper be the star of the show for this simple card. Meandering Meadows DSP is currently out of stock, but it is expected back on March 11, 2024.
I think Lemon Lime Twist is a cheerful color, so since this card is about bringing cheer, and Lemon Lime Twist is one of the coordinating colors, I used it as my card base. I cut a piece of both Basic White and the Meandering Meadows Designer Series Paper at 4″ x 5-1/4″. I made a mark on the top edge of the DSP at 2-1/2″ from the upper right corner and 2-1/2″ on the right edge of the DSP so that I could fold the right upper edge down in a triangle. There’s no magic formula here – adjust this fold as you desire to fit your sentiment.
I placed the DSP on the Basic White panel and auditioned my sentiment on the corner upper right corner of the Basic White panel before stamping with Highland Heather, another coordinating color in the Meandering Meadows Designer Series Paper. I used liquid glue to add a piece of Silver 1/8″ Trim from the Gold & Silver 1/8″ Trim Combo Pack to the folded edge of the DSP allowing about half of the trim to peek over the edge towards the sentiment. With liquid glue, I adhered the Meandering Meadows Designer Series Paper to the Basic White card panel, keeping all but the folded edge even. I decorated the front of the card with a single Blueberry Bushel Radiating Stitches Dies heart. I adhered the front panel to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For the inside sentiment panel, I adhered a 3/4″ x 4″ piece of Meandering Meadows DSP to the bottom of the panel. I stamped the sentiment directly above the DSP, centered on the panel, using Highland Heather ink. I adhered the sentiment panel to the card base with Stampin’ Seal.
For the envelope, I adhered a piece of 2-1/4″ x 6″ DSP to the envelope flap with liquid glue. Sometimes I find myself in a rut about how I decorate, so for the envelope front I used Tuxedo Black Memento ink and stamped the Garden Meadow Stamp Set flower basket near the address instead of in the corner. I used a piece of window sheet in the envelope to prevent the Stampin’ Blends ink from bleeding through. I colored the basket with light Pecan Pie and light and dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. I colored the flowers with light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends and the leaves with dark and light Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends.
And that’s it for this simple, straight forward card. I love how it lets the DSP shine. You can, of course, jazz it up with more layers but sometimes I just want to make a simple card, especially if I’m not feeling all that creative. Creating and finishing a beautiful, simple card usually gives my creativity a restart.

Retired Stampin’ Up! Products
My online Stampin’ Up! retired product store has been refreshed with additional products. I will be adding more retired products as I come across them. I have a variety of stamps, dies and embellishments. My stamps and dies are all gently used and most were purchased within the last two years (although some may be “vintage”). Dies might be on magnet cards as I did not start saving the original packaging until just recently. Designer Series Paper and embellishments are new in unopened packages unless otherwise stated.
Due to Stampin’ Up! policies, I can only ship to U. S. addresses.
