Hello and welcome to the monthly Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop. I’m happy you’ve stopped by today.
For today’s hop, Amy’s Inkin’ Krew team members are working with a theme “For the Ladies/Girls”. Now truthfully, most cards I make are for women, and sometimes even David gets a card with flowers on it, so for today’s card I wanted to make a card with a special something. Perhaps you’ve seen this one, but I hadn’t until I started creating today.
I chose my colors by starting with the 2023-2025 In Color Luster Specialty paper. I love this paper and am sorry it’s going to retire this month. Grab it while you can, y’all. I chose Moody Mauve because I had a coordinating DSP with the Earthen Elegance DSP. In the end, my colors ended up as Moody Mauve, Pretty Peacock and Peach Pie. How did I choose these three? I used my color wheel and selected the Triadic colors based off my main color of Moody Mauve.
I used Moody Mauve cardstock as my base with a Pretty Peacock mat for the Earthen Elegance Moody Mauve DSP. To make my focal point, I cut a piece of Moody Mauve Luster Paper and added the new 2024 – 2025 In Color 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper in Peach Pie to the front of the card. I added a piece of Peach Pie 3/8″ Bordered Ribbon around the focal point before gluing the upper card to the matted DSP.
I used the Irresistible Blooms Bundle for the focal point of the card. First I used the Irresistible Blooms decorative circle die with Pretty Peacock cardstock. The die does not cut the circle out entirely, so I trimmed the attached pieces to be able to use the circle alone. I used Very Vanilla cardstock to stamp the large bloom using Peach Pie ink and the leaf trio in Moody Mauve, then cut them out with the Irresistible Blooms Dies.
I added very small dots of glue to the back of the small circles and added the decorative circle to the front of the card. I adhered the leaf trio to the flower with liquid glue and then adhered the flower to the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added three retiring 2023 – 2025 In Color Dots in Moody Mauve to the front of the card.
For the inside of the card, I used a Very Vanilla sentiment panel and stamped the sentiment in Moody Mauve on the bottom right of the panel. I added a strip of Peach Pie Designer Series Paper to the panel above the sentiment with liquid glue.
I added 2023 – 2025 In Color Luster Paper in Moody Mauve to the Very Vanilla envelope flap. I stamped the texture stamp in Moody Mauve, stamped off once, twice on the front of the envleope. I then stamped the smaller flower in Peach Pie ink on the front of the envelope.
Now for the surprise part – the front card opens and is a gift card or special note place for our lucky recipient.
Thanks for joining me today. I hope you enjoy all the projects. To continue on the hop click the next button to go to Karen’s blog. To go back to Carols’ blog, click the previous button. Or you can go rogue and click on any name to go to that designer’s blog. Happy Tuesday, y’all!

Retired Stampin’ Up! Products
My online Stampin’ Up! retired product store has been refreshed with additional products. I will be adding more retired products as I come across them. I have a variety of stamps, dies and embellishments. My stamps and dies are all gently used and most were purchased within the last two years (although some may be “vintage”). Dies might be on magnet cards as I did not start saving the original packaging until just recently. Designer Series Paper and embellishments are new in unopened packages unless otherwise stated.
Due to Stampin’ Up! policies, I can only ship to U. S. addresses.
