Hello and welcome to my blog. Thank you for stopping by today. I’m glad you’re here.
Today I’m making a Simple Sunday card. I made this card using the Planted Paradise stamp set I received for attending OnStage@Home in November. This stamp set will be available in the upcoming Jan – Apr 2024 Mini Catalog. This is a fun reversible stamp set with a variety of pots and plants to create lots of different looks.
I kept the look of this card quite simple with an all white die cut background inspired by a recent card made by Jaimie Babarczy. Instead of the hexagons Jaimie used, I chose multiple sizes of Deckled Circles and used the Jan – Apr 2024 Mini Catalog Layered Floral 3D Embossing Folder. The Planted Paradise Stamp Set does not have dies, so this is a fussy cut card. You might know that I am not a fan of fussy cutting, but this was really easy to do.
I chose not to use a sentiment for this card, so it can be used for any purpose. If I need a sentiment later I can add one, but it’s very likely that I will send the card just as is. To make this card, I die cut the seven smallest circles out of Basic White cardstock using the Deckled Circle Dies and the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine. I was able to cut all seven circle dies out of a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of cardstock. After die cutting, I used the Layered Floral 3D Embossing Folder to emboss all the die cut circles.
I arranged the embossed Deckled Circles onto a Basic White Thick Cardstock, allowing some to hang off the edge to be a partial circle. Once the placement was the way I wanted it, I adhered the embossed Deckled Circles to the card base with liquid glue.
With Pretty Peacock, stamped off twice, I stamped the large pot on Basic White cardstock. I then used Mossy Meadow, Granny Apple Green and Old Olive to stamp each of the three leaves I used in each color. I stamped the detailed stamp first with full strength ink, then cleaned the stamps, placed them over the detail stamping I did with the smooth side down, and picked them up again with my Clear Block D. I inked each color and stamped off 2-3 times before stamping over the original in the lighter ink.
I used my paper snips to fussy cut each color of leaves and the pot. I arranged the leaves in the pot as desired. In the end, I didn’t use all the leaves I stamped and fussy cut, so I saved the extras for another time. I adhered the leaves to the pot with liquid glue and then placed a lot of Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the leaves and the pot. Since there are a lot of individual elements in my scene, I wanted to make sure that each one was supported by a dimensionals and didn’t want the center sagging. I adhered the focal point to the front center of the card. I added three gold Blooming Pearls embellishments to the front of the card.
A note about the Blooming Pearls – and many of the embellishments I use. I have ordered product shares of Designer Series Paper, ribbon and embellishments since I started stamping. With a Product Share you receive a sample of paper, ribbon and embellishments from a new catalog so that you can sample the items and decide what you want more of. Sometimes I’m not all that fond of an embellishment and sometimes I love them so much I order three of them right away knowing that I’ll use them a lot. If you’re interested in a Product Share from the Jan – Apr 2024 Mini Catalog, I am offering them. Please check out my Product Share information here or below.
Now, back to the card. For the inside of the card, I cut an Old Olive cardstock mat and a Basic White interior layer. I stamped a smaller pot using Pretty Peacock ink for the pot and Old Olive for the trio of leaves. I stamped both the solid (reversible) stamp and the detailed stamp for the pot and plant.
On the envelope flap, I used the same pot and plant as the inside of the card, but this time I stamped in Granny Apple Green and Mossy Meadow. I used the reversible and detailed stamp here as well. On the envelope front I picked a new pot and stamped the detailed and reversible images in Pretty Peacock. I masked the top and stamped three different leaves in Granny Apple Green. I then stamped two different sizes of eucalyptus leaves in Mossy Meadow.

Retired Stampin’ Up! Products
My online Stampin’ Up! retired product store has been refreshed with additional products. I will be adding more retired products as I come across them. I have a variety of stamps, dies and embellishments. My stamps and dies are all gently used and most were purchased within the last two years (although some may be “vintage”). Dies might be on magnet cards as I did not start saving the original packaging until just recently. Designer Series Paper and embellishments are new in unopened packages unless otherwise stated.
Due to Stampin’ Up! policies, I can only ship to U. S. addresses.

Last Chance Sale 21 Nov 2023 to 3 Jan 2024
A new catalog is exciting, but it also means we have to say goodbye to some products. Beginning 21 November 2023 through 3 Jan 2024, Last Chance Products will be on sale. Not every product on the retiring list will be leaving (bundles, for example, may be retiring, but the individual pieces might still be available) but what is retiring will go quickly. Make sure you get your favorites before they are gone forever.
Below are the Last Chance Sale carryover and retiring lists in Excel format. The retiring list is in landscape to allow for increased font size. These lists were last updated on 27 Dec 2023 at 8:00 pm.
