Y’all – it’s FREE SHIPPING day (May 21, 2024) for all orders over US $75! Have you shopped yet?? I have a list all ready for this morning.
Hello and happy Tuesday from Austin Texas. I am traveling with my husband on a business trip this week. As of today we expect to be here until Thursday, but his schedule is unpredictable.
I know I’ve mentioned my son’s college graduation which took place 10 days ago. At the time we took plenty of photos. I intended to scrap the event for myself, but when considering today’s blog post I thought a photo memory gift with a little journaling would be nice to gift for Ethan. Either that or his girlfriend will keep it 🙂

Today’s book is made with four envelopes for the pages which have been decorated with cardstock and DSP. I learned the basics of this project from Audra Monk during a cardmaking retreat.

For the basic decorating of the book I cut each mat to 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ and each piece of Take to the Sky Designer Series Paper to 4″ x 5-1/4″. These measurements work for most pages, but when I ran into a tight fit I simply trimmed the mat and the DSP to fit better.
In the photo above you can see the two tabs I punched using the Keeping Tabs punch. I also stamped each tag with the dotted pattern from the Keeping Tabs Stamp Set. I used the Love This Moment Stamp Set to stamp the words Notes and Memories on the tabs. The word Smile is also from the Love This Moment Stamp set .

I used my Brother ScanNCut to create the names of the friends in Ethan’s photo. As I have worked on creating scrapbook pages outside of my Stampin’ Up! Blog, I find I used a variety of items, including my ScanNCut, to get the look I desire.

This is the front and back of the second tabbed insert. I used the Love this Moment stamp at the bottom of my journaling page to tell The Story of these two photos. About the journaling pages – I created three 8-1/2″ x 11″ pages in Canva. I made a narrow-ruled page, a wide-ruled page and a dotted page. I printed each page on cardstock with my Epson inkjet printer and Basic White Cardstock. I used two of the lined pages for journaling in this photo book.

I finished off with another Canva design printed on photo paper. Ethan has been going to church with his girlfriend and just told me that he’s joining the church. When I selected this quote from St. Ignatius of Loyola, I was thinking there are many ways to set the world on fire and I thought it was a good lead in to the new adventures to come.
This is a thick photo gift which will not fit in the Basic White Medium Envelopes. I believe this gift is best given in person, but if you do wish to mail it, you’ll need a larger envelope than normal.
A note about emails for my blog posts up to May 19. I had an issue with my email provider and had to reset completely. This has caused any links in emails sent up to May 19 to become invalid. So, if something doesn’t work, you can come to my blog and use the search function in the sidebar to find the post you’re looking for. The issue has been resolved going forward, but I apologize for the inconvenience for any previous links that no longer work.
