Happy Tuesday. Y’all, we had an eventful weekend. If you were planning on watching my live on Sunday, I apologize for having to cancel. My father-in-law remains in the hospital after being admitted Friday. He is in stable condition in the ICU after being transferred to a more advanced hospital on Sunday. Treatment options are still being discussed. I thank you all for your prayers and concern.
Today’s card was inspired by Brandy Cox. It’s a fun card made with strips. Such a great way to use up scraps of DSP and cardstock.
The card is built on a Basic White card base, a Daffodil Delight bottom mat layer and a Basic White layer used to glue the strips on. The strips are an assortment of cardstock and four patterns of DSP. I used the lovely new Mediterranean Blooms 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper from the upcoming 2024 – 2025 Annual Catalog. I love Annual Catalog designer series paper because it’s around for the whole year and I have a chance to really use it. I received a free package of the Mediterranean Blooms DSP during Prize Patrol at OnStage last weekend. So fresh and lovely.
My strips are all 3/4″ wide and vary in length depending on where I put them. Since I typically have a portion of my paper cut at 6″ x 6″, my DSP strips are all 3/4″ x 6″. My cardstock cuts were 3/4″ x 8-1/2″. I used the upcoming Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder to dry emboss only the white DSP. I arranged the strips in a simple V pattern by laying one strip from the upper edge to about the middle of the Basic White base layer, then placed another strip with the edges even pushed up against the bottom of the first strip. I simply kept adding strips until I filled the entire 5-1/8″ x 3-7/8″ Basic White layer.
I trimmed the strips at the edge of the layer and used the strips on a second 5-1/8″ x 3-7/8″ Basic White layer to make a second strip layer. I attached each layer to the Daffodil Delight mat (I had 2 cut). Now this is something new to me as I don’t typically decorate the inside of the card similar to the outside of the card, but it was fun to have more decoration inside as well as outside.
I used the Filled with Happiness Stamp Set and stamped my image on a scrap of Basic White cardstock. I colored the center with light and dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends, light Peach Pie Stampin’ Blends and light and dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. I used the Modern Oval punch (on backorder until April 22, 2024) to cut the center of the stamped image. I chose to use Pumpkin Pie cardstock and restamped the image before fussy cutting around the sentiment. I adhered the colored image to the Pumpkin PIe stamped image with Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered the Filled with Happiness Stamp Set image to the front of the card with liquid glue. I added three Pumpkin Pie Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins to the front of the card.
For the inside panel decoration, I did a little fussy cutting of the Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper, selecting the single lemon as my fussy cut image. This was a fairly easy fussy cut 🙂 I stamped the Filled With Happiness sentiment on a 3/4″ wide strip of Basic White and banner cut the right end of the strip. I added the fussy cut lemon to the other side of the strip with liquid glue and glued the entire piece to the matted strips. I glued the matted strip panel to the upper inside of the card base and added a single Daffodil Delight heart embellishment to the strip.
For the message area, I used a strip of 5″ x 1/2″ Daffodil Delight and stamped the small flower from the Filled With Happiness Stamp set several times along the strip. I adhered the strip to the card base with liquid glue.
The envelope flap is decorated with Pumpkin Pie cardstock dry embossed with the upcoming Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder. If I haven’t told you how lovely this embossed image is, this is a great place to show it off it as the 2-1/4″ x 6″ embossed piece gives a good look at the embossing. Adhere the embossed cardstock to the envelope flap with liquid glue before trimming with paper snips.
On the front of the envelope, I used the small flower again, this time stamped in Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie ink. All of my color choices for cardstock and ink were chosen from the Mediterranean Blooms designer series paper.

Retired Stampin’ Up! Products
My online Stampin’ Up! retired product store has been refreshed with additional products. I will be adding more retired products as I come across them. I have a variety of stamps, dies and embellishments. My stamps and dies are all gently used and most were purchased within the last two years (although some may be “vintage”). Dies might be on magnet cards as I did not start saving the original packaging until just recently. Designer Series Paper and embellishments are new in unopened packages unless otherwise stated.
Due to Stampin’ Up! policies, I can only ship to U. S. addresses.

The current Annual Catalog and January-April Mini Catalog are ending soon, and the Last Chance Lists (detailing which products are retiring from both catalogs) are now available. Saying goodbye to some of our products is always sad, but it's all for a good cause as it's to make way for NEW products coming in the 2024-25 Annual Catalog, launching in May!

If there is something on the list of retiring products that you've been waiting to order, please order as soon as you can to avoid disappointment as all retiring items are only available while supplies last. Some products are discounted up to 60%, and these discounts will apply from April 9th. Popular items may sell out before then, so consider ordering anything you can't miss out on as soon as possible. Waiting to take advantage of the discounts may mean the items sell out before you place your order.
