Hello and welcome to my blog. I’m excited to bring you a card with brand new product today – the Leaf Collection background stamp. This was an all attendee prize patrol gift during OnStage in Houston this weekend. She’s a big stamp which fits on the Stampin’ Up! Clear Block F. I used a stamp positioning tool to help me with this project as my hands struggle to hold a large block.
I used a Basic Black card base as a neutral and my color wheel to pick three triadic colors (three colors evenly spaced on the color wheel) – Copper Clay, Moody Mauve and Pretty Peacock.
I cut Copper Clay and Moody Mauve panel strips 1-1/8″ x 5-1/2″ panel and Pretty Peacock 1-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and placed them side by side on my stamping platform. I used a sticky note to keep the panels together. I swiped the embossing buddy over each panel and stamped the tri-colored panel with Versamark.
I sprinkled Silver Metallics Embossing Powder on each panel and then heated the embossing powder with my heat tool. I just love watching it melt into a lovely, shiny embossed image.
I trimmed the Pretty Peacock panel to 1-1/8″ wide and trimmed the three front panels to 5″ long. Save the extra 3/8″ of Pretty Peacock for the inside.
I adhered the three panels to a Basic Black mat with liquid glue. I used Silver 1/8″ trim and wrapped it around the panel three times. I adhered the ends to the back of the panel with Stampin’ Seal+.
I used the second smallest Everyday Details Dies circle to cut my sentiment circle. I repeated the heat embossing sequence – embossing buddy, Versamark, embossing powder – and used the heat tool to heat the sentiment. I adhered the sentiment to the front panel over the ribbon with black Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I used the black Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the front panel to the front card base.
I adhered the Pretty Peacock scrap to the inside sentiment panel with liquid glue, then adhered the Basic White panel to a Moody Mauve mat with Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the matted panel to the card base with liquid glue.
For the envelope, I used blending brushes and added the three colors of ink – Copper Clay, Moody Mauve and Pretty Peacock – to the Leaf Collection Stamp. I pressed the envelope flap onto the inked stamp.
For the front of the envelope, I used the Copper Clay blending brush to add ink to the front of the envelope. I used the Happy Little Things Stamp Set and stamped LOVE in Pretty Peacock and the diamonds in Moody Mauve.
