Hooray! It’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop day! Welcome to my blog from wherever you came from. Our theme today is Love, which we were free to interpret any way we wished.
I chose to use the lovely florals in the Inked & Tiled stamp set combined with the bold sentiments in the Softly Said stamp set. I also used the Inked Botanical designer series paper. In this dreary time of year, I really enjoy using these bright florals.
I utilized the work the Stampin’ Up! paper designers had already done and chose my colors from the designer series paper. I picked Lost Lagoon as my card base, which I cut at 4-1/4 x 11 and scored at 5-1/2″. I cut 3″ from the front of the card base and turned it horizontally on the card front. With liquid glue, I adhered a 2-3/8″ x 4-1/8″ piece of Inked Botanical DSP to the left card front. I chose another piece of Inked Botanical DSP, cut at 2-7/8″ x 4-1/8″ for the horizontal card front. I adhered the DSP to the card front with liquid glue.
I used the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine to die cut a piece of Vellum using the 3-1/2″ x 2-3/8″ Deckled Rectangle. I swiped my embossing buddy over the vellum and used VersaMark Ink to stamp the Softly Stamped Stamp Set sentiment You are Loved on the vellum. I sprinkled the Copper Metallics Embossing Powder over the stamped Vellum and tapped the excess off. As I usually do, I sprinkled the Copper Metallics Embossing Powder a second time and tapped off the excess. I used my heat tool to melt the Copper Metallics Embossing Powder. I set the piece aside to cool. This is a large stamp, so I allowed plenty of cooling time.
After the sentiment cooled, I placed very small dots of liquid glue behind the on the back of the vellum panel and hid the dots behind the embossing. I allowed this several minutes to dry and become tacky. The liquid glue will turn clear when it’s ready to use. Once clear, I applied the vellum to the horizontal card front. I wrapped linen thread three times around the card panel and tied a bow on the left of the card front. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the left side of the horizontal panel to the card base front. I added three Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots in copper to the card front and the horizontal front.
I cut a piece of Inked Botanicals 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ for a mat and a Basic White layer to 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ for the inside sentiment panel. I stamped the Inked & Tiled stamp set flowers twice – once in Lost Lagoon and then once in Petal Pink on the left side of the sentiment panel so they are hidden behind the left side of the card front when the card is closed. I used Cajun Craze ink to stamp the Softly Said stamp set Just Because sentiment across the inside panel, centered behind the horizontal panel.
For the inside of the card, I stamped the double flower from the Inked & Tiled stamp set in Lost Lagoon on the left side, and again in Petal Pink on the left, lower than the first stamp. I then used Calypso Coral ink with the Softly Said stamp set “Just Because” sentiment centered on the inside panel. I adhered the Basic White panel to the DSP mat with Stampin’ Seal and then adhered the matted panel to the card base with liquid glue.
For the envelope, I adhered a piece of Inked Botanical DSP cut 2-1/4″ x 6″ to the envelope flap with liquid glue. I stamped the single flower to the front left bottom of the front of the card using Petal Pink ink.
I hope you make this fun fold card – it’s quite easy to make and very versatile. Please tag me at #stampwithnel when you make it – I’d love to see your card.

Retired Stampin’ Up! Products
My online Stampin’ Up! retired product store has been refreshed with additional products. I will be adding more retired products as I come across them. I have a variety of stamps, dies and embellishments. My stamps and dies are all gently used and most were purchased within the last two years (although some may be “vintage”). Dies might be on magnet cards as I did not start saving the original packaging until just recently. Designer Series Paper and embellishments are new in unopened packages unless otherwise stated.
Due to Stampin’ Up! policies, I can only ship to U. S. addresses.

Another great fun fold card. The large sentiment is perfect for this layout. Always smart to use the DSP colors as the basis for a card. Perfect!
