Hello friends and happy Tuesday. I’m happy you stopped by my blog today.
Today I’m using the Take to the Sky Suite for a fun fold Father’s Day card. I made this card for my free cardmaking class which is live every Sunday at 6 pm Central on YouTube.

In addition to the Take to the Sky Suite, I also pulled out the Nested Essentials Dies. I love these dies – they’re so versitile I could probably use them on most of my cards.
I love fun fold cards. The Nested Essentials elongated dies are my focal point for this front flap card. I used the 2nd largest elongated die to cut the Designer Series Paper.

I selected the new Silver 12″ x 12″ Foil Sheets to make the airplane body and Copper Clay for the wings and details. I didn’t want silver tires, so I cut off the silver tires and adhered a Basic Black plane body behind the silver one so I had black tires.
I found that the silver body does show any glue smudges from glue seepage. Ask me how I know 🙂 So, as much as I am team liquid glue, I used Stampin’ Seal to assemble all of the plane pieces.

The flap for the card is 2″ and comes directly off the front of the Night of Navy card base. It is folded in half and adhered to the card base with the fold right at the edge of the right side. The Nested Essentials larges elongated die cuts are adhered to the flap with the wrong sides together which hides the edge of the flap and gives the focal point a clean finish on the back.

Once I adhered the DSP to the focal point, I adhered the assembled plane with Stampin’ Seal. I added some of the awesome Industrial Trinkets to the front of the card with liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Adventurous Sky Stamp Set on a 1-1/4″ Take to the Sky 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper scrap and cut banner tails at the bottom with paper snips. I added a second piece of DSP and used the first piece as a guide for where to place my center snip and make my tails so they showed under the stamped DSP. I used liquid glue to adhere the sentiment banners together and to adhere them to the inside panel.

I added Take to the Sky DSP to the envelope flap trimmed to size, then stamped the rivited metal pattern on the front of the envelope in Night of Navy Ink stamped off twice.

My online Stampin’ Up! retired product store has been refreshed with additional products. I will be adding more retired products as I come across them. I have a variety of stamps, dies and embellishments. My stamps and dies are all gently used and most were purchased within the last two years (although some may be “vintage”). Dies might be on magnet cards as I did not start saving the original packaging until just recently. Designer Series Paper and embellishments are new in unopened packages unless otherwise stated.
Due to Stampin’ Up! policies, I can only ship to U. S. addresses.
